Another day of Pink Extravaganza 2015. This time JoAnn and I decided to sleep in and catch the HT change at 1:10pm. We launched out of Edmonds and headed to Picnic Point. The game plan was to troll one line and jig with the other. Rumor has it that I don’t know how to jig for pinks in the saltwater. This is patently untrue. I will say, it did help a lot today to bring my twitching jig rod which was much more comfortable. Look mom, no sore elbow joint!
The fishing was slower today for us than it was yesterday. I got two pinks on jigs and lost three. The downrigger rod had a few hits, but none stuck, probably three fell off. We fished from 11:30am to 3pm. Still lots of fish on the fishfinder, just couldn’t find biters.
It was certainly a relaxing and pleasant day, so no complaints. Gringo was out with his family. Always nice to give a shout out to friends on the water.
