Great day to call in sick! A friend and I launched at Kingston about 6 am and motored up to Point No Point. Fished the North side briefly but after marking ton's of bait and fish with only a shaker to show for it we hit the south side of the point and WHAM!! almost on cue of crossing the point FISH ON!! Unfortunately mainline snapped losing everything. Once I stopped cussing myself out for not checking knots and line from a busy season we had the new set up in and right away the other rod slammed down so violently we forgot about the lost gear. Fish 1 in the boat! Within a minute fish 2 on and boated. Trolled the same small area in about 50' of water with gear at 40 and 45 ft and about 15 minutes later numero 3 boated! 20 more minutes pass and it's gotten windy and rough and we want our last fish so we can boogy. As we are talking about nothing DOUBLES!! Fortunately we were able to pick the larger of the two. 5 pounders in the box. Typical green hoochies with ace hi's on purple haze uv flashers. Speed varied so much in the currents but a consistent line angle greater than 45 degree was ideal. The whale's were out as well! So lucky to live where we do!!
