We arrived at the lake & put in about 11:00. There were only two other boats on the water & the lake was fairly calm. No luck on the southeast end but we finally landed a small smallmouth along the east docks.
At about 2:00, several ski boats hit the water & stirred things up. we moved to the west docks & got several hits & continued working this area. We landed several more small smallmouths. We hit rush hour at the lake at about 3:00. More ski boats & half a dozen jet skis. They were having fun & churning up the water good. we were in a 16' flat bassboat & started taking on a bit of water from the 3' wakes.
We landed seven smallies & a perch. By next year, they should grow & give a better fight. Good luck.
