Hit the water around 11 and dealt with the wind and waves (they look taller from a kayak). Paddled around the shoal and started out with a purple/silver blue fox spinner. Still have yet to catch anything but perch or bullhead from a vibrax so pretty sure I might be done buying them. Tried a few different scents and colors twitching jigs but only a couple bumps. Lots of guys doing OK with a corkie/yarn so tried that but was only snagging and losing hooks. Tried running a 2" fire orange swim bait minnow and that was the good stuff! Too bad I only had 3 and 8lb line. Went 3 for 5 but only took one home to smoke up. Need better timing next time
