Took my little sisters to the green today. We had a pretty rough day. No fish or bites. I decided to leave about 2 hours into it before they got too bored. It seems like almost every cast was another problem, but they did better than I thought they would and didn't do too bad for their first time salmon fishing. No lost lures. A man next to us was throwing pink corkie and eggs and seemed like he was getting a couple bites but no hook ups.

We saw 3 pinks that were really ugly, kind of just drifting in the river with the current. They must have just spawned. Then trying to explain to my sisters that was the same kind of fish that I was bringing home last month that were all silver. I gave it a go and tried to explain, but kept getting the.... "Huh? what do you mean?" So I ended with the "nah just kidding, its a different type of fish." Fun day on the water with the little sisters.

I have only seen a few really dark pinks swimming around lately fishing through kent. Best I have caught is a cnr small cutthroat. Seen no silvers jumping lately.
