Got out to the river to my normal spot at sunrise. Plunked some eggs out and got nothing. after an hour, I drifted the eggs and caught 1 fish. To me, it looked like a 2lb rainbow trout, but the guy beside me told me it was a jack (immature) coho. He had spots all down his back, normal white mouth (coho should have black tongue), and a redish/pinkish/purplish band down its sides (think that's how I'd describe a rainbow). I tried to snap a picture, but i planned on returning him to the water, so I hurried too much and the picture did not turn out. Oh, he also had a clipped adipose fin. Maybe someone has a better way to tell the difference, please let me know.
