I fished the north fork of the Toutle from 3-6:30 pm and caught nothing but a bunch of leaves. The river is very choked-up and extremely muddy. The area of bank I fished from last Saturday is now covered by water, about six-feet wide and a foot deep. I ran into four or five anglers through the course of the evening, none of which had had any luck on the Toutle's north fork. One gentleman said he saw a guy who had his limit in the morning though. That aside, I think it may be done for the season unless we have a flash drought. Ha ha. I did hear the south fork is in pretty good shape still, as well as far far upstream on the north fork; however I'm not sure how to access it that far up.
