I had a few hours after working a job in Sequim so I went to the river for the first time hoping to get some silvers. I used a Areo Drifter corky set-up with a green head and black body as the water was very clear. No luck with the silvers but as the sunlight started to wain the chum really came out of the woodwork and I landed 3. One was the biggest fish I've landed ever! He was just shy of 36" and I'm guessing 16 lbs or better. I caught a king earlier this season at 32 1/2" and 14 lbs and this chum was much bigger. Took almost 20 minutes to land... I played him for a bit, had a smoke, played him for a bit longer and finally landed him. It was the biggest and funnest fish I've caught!
Does anyone had any fishing tips for fishing this river?
