Headed out to middle fork up past the falls. Very high flow, fast, cold, green. No fish. Also went to south fork, water was clear, but I didn't do any fishing. I tried finding the park where all 3 forks come together but had no luck. I ended up down by the raging river and Snoqualmie, below the falls. I saw one person hook up, other than that most people I saw/ spoke with all agreed fishing was slow. Seemed like it would be a good day to be on the rivers, but the flows are still high and the fish are still hiding.

I also stopped by the tolt river, hoping the steelhead might be coming in. Same thing, dirty water, fast, and no fish to be seen. I got bumped by a log going downstream and it scared the heck out of me. Thats what I get for keeping my back facing up river.

No kidding, I was in about a foot and a half of water working the overgrowth along the banks. It was about 6" across and 4ft long, so I'm sure if was in faster water near the center it would have took me out. I love fishing secluded areas, but they do come with risk not being able to use the buddy system. I ran into a bear out by humptulips a few weeks back by myself, and a very large elk on upper snoqualmie. Now I at least carry a large knife attached to my shoulder when I go out, not that it would help much, but still... it's good to go out fighting.

Im going to keep checking in on the tolt. I have a better idea of the layout now, and it's about 10 minutes from my house. I'm plan on going back day after thanksgiving. If they start coming in I'll definately post.
