It was snow day at work, so I went down to the Riverbend campground on the Nisqually. The roads were good until Mounts road but my front wheel drive did ok. I didn’t drive all the way down the gravel bar. I wasn’t going to put my little car into to much danger so I walked the rest of the way when I found a wide spot to park.
There were fish on as I got there. Wow those fish look good. It was hard to tell they were chums. I saw 3 or 4 caught. I didn’t get anything. The WDFW guys came in and one made a statement out loud to us “Make sure you do the paper work on your fish.” Then they left.
Casting was easy since it wasn’t freezing, the eyes were clear but I got too cold even with the fire nearby and it was snowing pretty hard when I left... In fact it was hard to see where I was casting and the snow was sticking to my pole. I was there 10:30am-12:30pm.
