My son's patience ran out, the wind picked up, and the fish began to bite. But not in that order. We fished from 7:30 to 11am. Saw a few caught and had one BIG cutthroat grab my chironomid - and let go. The fish we did see caught looked pretty dark and tired. But they are there to catch. The wind picked up pretty strong and I realized there was no way I was going to row the mile back to the boat launch. So thank you to the two gentlemen that helped me carry my pontoon boat up the bank to the side of the road and drove me to the boat launch to get my truck! Your kindness will be returned to a stranger in need that I run into. Oh yes, my son's patience ran out first. He just doesn't have his dad's fishing bug I guess.
