I don't know what the deal is, guys are beatin them up on the lower river, but ther is hardly any fish at the top. I fished Sat. Sun. and today (Tues). Today i saw one fish hokked for about10 seconds and one dark one tied up on Sunday. Iv'e fished from top down to the bike track. I work swing shift in Fife. so I drive the river daily. On Monday about every other guy had a fish and they were rolling everywhere. Maybe another week or so before they are stacked, like the lower section.
On sunday I saw a canoe flip trying to float the river, luckily they had two other canoes with them and a drift boat was close by also. We were able to throw them a rope and get the canoe back over to them so they could get back in. The canoe had mom, dad, two boys and a little girl, the girl was pretty shook up and cold but OK. The kids had life jackets on. So remember, PLEASE always be careful and expect anything to happen.
