This is the first trip to the Carbon for me this year. I got to the river about 8:30am and left with my limit of pinks at 11:00am. I used very little weight with an orange or pink corkie. I lost several rigs to good ole snags. The sun came up over the trees and it made it hard for me to see to cast. I will have to remember sunglasses if it is suppose to be nice. I was close to the mouth of the river.
As I was leaving the man next to me caught a nice silver maybe 8 pounds which was his second fish of the day and second river fish ever. Another guy at the headwaters who was catching a lot had kept 2 silvers about 5-6 pounds. He said he saw a large king go by. So it is looking good!
