I have a friend that is not physically able to fish and really wanted some smoked salmon, and since we ate all the pinks my wife smoked up, I decided to run over to the spot just east of the I-5 bridge to see if I couldn't nab a few more!

This is a crowded spot, but most everyone seems pretty pleaseant to fish around. Pinks were rolling good, however the bite is getting tougher as the season rolls on... I managed four, but it took right up til dark to do it, and that was after putting two on the bank in the first 15 minutes!

Just a note, it is NOT legal to keep these things unless they are hooked FORWARD of the gill plate!!! All you dorsal snaggers need to release and try again.....you know who you are! I have not been to this section of river without seeing a game warden at some point in time, so I know they are never too far away, and next time I will call the poaching hotline and see just how quick they get there??

Do it right, legal, or not at all!!
