Fished the POR for about 2 hours Sat. First cast had two little guys about 5-7lbers follow my bucktail and thought i was in for a fiver star day. Couldnt get them to bite, tried the old figure 8 and even difted over them again but no luck. Went to the usual honey hole and didnt catch a fish or even get a follow and that was the first time that had ever happened since I found the spot about mid summer. Just when I thought I had them figured out they mix things up. I suspect I will have to slow down my power fishing tactics and maybe start throwing some soft plastics but none the less I didn't have a lot of time because I wanted to do some scouting for Duck season. Saw a cow elk along the river bank and that was the highlight of the weekend. After that we managed to sneak up on a flock of decoys. Thier must of been a youth hunt or something but it sucked I have been scouting that spot all summer and am guessing thier is goign to be a lot of pressure considering.
