What an amazing day. Was fishing near North Green River Park. Ive been fishing the same 300 yards of river for about a month now.

Ended up catching 19 pinks. One male over 10 lbs. He actually bit and ran. I chased him all over the river and 15 mins later i was shocked he was pink. I thought i hooked one of the black kings i had seen swimming around.

The guy next to me only caught one the whole time i was there. Guys down the stream didnt have any luck either. But the asians up stream were doing good.

I was catching them in the mouth with dick nites.
Was also catching them using orange yarn and pink corky... but most were foul hooked.

I was going to keep the monster, but decided to let him go. I only kept one hen, which hadnt turned at all. All the rest i caught were only good for smoking.

I did not see any silvers. A few 20-30 lb kings swimming around- black as can be..

Ill be heading back tomorrow afternoon for more fun...

What part of The Green were you fishing at? Sounds like you had a great time, thanks for sharing.

I was fishing in North Green River park. Across the street from the soccer fields. I actually went back the next day and tried the same spot. Caught one fish.. So i moved down 40 feet to a slower spot and caught 19 pinks in four hours. I had some really nice looking hens. I ended up letting them go since my wrists were tired and i didnt feel like filleting them when i got home.

If you know the exact weight of the big male , the world record is 11 pounds.

It was 10.35 .. The record is 15.40 lbs by Adam Stewart on the Stillaguamish River, Snohomish Co. in 2007.

@tinyfists, I made a visit down to this spot today based on your report. Yes, pretty easy fishing but hard to get them in the mouth w/ a corky & yarn setup. I would've switch to spoons if I really wanted to keep some fish, but the stench of all the "fungus fish" lying around really turned me off.

Yeah, theyre three dead fish right at the corner bend and it does smell there. Right at the bend, underneath that tree, and down for another 15 feet was were i was getting em with yarn and corkie. Up from the tree where the river shallows out is where i was getting them with dick nites
