fished practacly the whole wallace today. started at the hwy2 bridge. seen a few sivers jump but could only catch a few humpies. some were still not that bad looking.
then we moved to the mouth of the wallace. dont think i cought anything there, although i did see a few silvers jump.
then we moved up to the hatchery. the fish were stacked. coho and pink. fished with various different jigs. many different colors and consistantly hooked fish. both pink and silver. the problem was there were so many people there that the fish i did manage to hook in the mouth all came unbuttoned at some point or other. i think i need to take a net with me next time, cuz i almost had 2 giant silvers but lost them at my feet when trying to land them. there are tons of silvers at the hatchery. many of them are still in great shape and color. just couldnt manage to bank any today. i think i will try to get out there at first light tomorrow before they open the shute into the holding tanks.
