Fished the stilly today, and it's still slow but worked out better then earlier this week.. Started the day off with a humpy, after throwing it back I foul hooked a small silver right away and tossed him back. Then it was quiet for some time when I hooked into a line stripper, ran fast and hard and then spit the hook. I never got to see that one but it felt big. I lost another one that was about 5 feet from shore, but it was dark red anyway. Next I caught the one I kept, for it's size it really was a short fight, but still fun. It was just over 32 inches long and weighed just slightly under 15 pounds. For the next 2 hours I couldn't get a single hit, it just died off. I didn't see any other fish caught today, but on my way out I saw a boat putting a gill net (only about15-20 feet long) in the river directly under north bound I-5 bridge. This did not look legal but they claimed they are tribal and legal for them to do so. Does any one know the areas netting is allowed on the stilly?
