Fished the stilly again today, after losing 3 yesterday and not landing a single one it felt good to limit today despite the heavy rain. Started down river of the dam and saw a small one caught right as I got there. I started fishing and it just didn't look like it was going to be good even though I just saw one caught. My gut said don't fish this spot today, so after about 15-20 min of fishing I headed up river. I stopped and tried a spot that I had never fished, kinda tuff to fish that spot, not much room to cast and not the easiest spot to land fish, but there was some fresh eggs left by some one who had caught a fish there that morning so I went for it. About that time came the down pour, I told myself I will give it an hour. I changed my corky and yarn to a spinner which I rarely use and right away fish on, landed it and a couple cast later I snagged bottom and lost my spinner. I dug out a similar one to the one I lost and started fishing again. before long it was fish on again. Landed that one and since I expected it to pour down rain the rest of the day I kept what I got and went home. One fish was nice and chrome and weighed 11 pounds and the other was getting some red color to her and was only 5 pounds. Got lots of eggs between the 2 of them so that is always a plus.

Way to go, man! Sounds like you timed your fishing/technique perfectly. The rains last night will probably make the river too murky and too fast for decent fishing over next few days.

Sweet!! Way to keep after it.. I do the same thing too. I did that last weekend and changed up after everyone on the drift was using the same color, changed to something no one else was using, "Fish on, fish on comin down!!"

@buzzbait as a matter a fact you did. That next day I tried a couple spinners I have had for years and have not used, because of your hook ups. It crossed my mind again thurs. when I came up on some dead water that my corky was just not working with no current. These spinners are not the big vibrex type but small trout type about the size of a rooster tail. They are les davis brand and they sure did work good.
