Redemption and revenge were 2 words I kept repeating over and over on my way back to the Puyallup. Goin_postal and I both wanted to redeem ourselves from yesterdays big tease. We were pleasantly surprised to see Tim and his son Jon pulling in right behind us while we geared up. The spot was occupied by familiar locals but the word was "slow." On my 8th cast or so, fish on, but it was a whimpering "fish on" because the fish came off about a minute into the battle. I screamed. Immediately right after, goin_postal hooks and lands a gorgeous buck.
I stayed for an hour or so later because the cold wind, the cold water and the cold bite made me head home defeated. Until next time...
