Started fishing around 7:30 am, raining and cold. There was about 7 of us fishing, not much happening. Met 2 mexican anglers, nice guys, we decided to try the lower part of the river and nothing but snags, so the guys left for the Puyallup river, and I decided to keep trying. I did manage to hook into a silver and as soon as he jumped he spat the hook out. Kept trying for couple of more hours and only landed a 7" whitefish. Decided to head back up where I originally started, now there were only 4 people there and nothing has changed. I did meet another angler there name Ed, he was showing me some of his hole spots to fish when the water level is down. We decided to head further down the river to see if maybe our luck would change, nada. Nothing but snaggs down there. We finally called it quits around 3pm. The water was clear for about 3-4 feet, but flowing fast and the level was high. Hey Ed, lets go out again sometimes, email me when you sign up on the forum.

Sometimes those snags are where the fish like to hide. You should have been using a 4inch needle to rig your worm. You and Ed should hit that hole over by Port Ludlow. You can meet up with James.
