Arrived at the Puyallup River around 1:00 pm. There were 4 others fishing there with no luck. One guy mentioned he had one on, but lost it. The water level was still high, but was clear for about 3-4 feet. Flow was just a little fast, but still able to get a good bouncy drift. After about couple of hours finally I had fish on. It was a fighter, jumping out of the water several times, fought that dog for good 5 minutes, luckily fellow angler offered to help net the fish. It was a semi chrome chum, approx. 5#s. Then within about 10 minutes later, had another fish on, this one felt much bigger, dragging my line down. Worked him for about 10 minutes and the same fellow helped me net the fish. Thanks again for your superb netting skills. This one was approx. 8-9# chum, was not chrome, but since I just got one of those little chief smoker, why not try it. Well it really started to pick up around 4pm, almost everyone that was there had fish on at different times of course. Total fish landed between everyone was 7 chums, some were really nice chromy. I was the last one to leave around 5:30pm, luckily I had my headlight with me. I think this weekend will be even better. Anyone know where Clark Creek is?
