Failed plans to fish Blue Creek today led goin_postal and I here. I arrived a little before him and the spot had 6 guys fishing along side the shoreline. Our goal was to get our limit before Tribal began netting at noon. The water was somewhat murky and higher than last time I fished here, So I just added a bit more weight to tick the bottom. Goin_postal got his limit and I was still struggling to find the slot and any fish. I don't know if you guys remember that Coca Cola commercial from the 1970's with Mean Joe Greene? And how he gave that kid his jersey? Well that kinda happened with us. I just couldn't get these fish to take anything I was throwing today. Goin_postal while tagging his gorgeous fish, reached into his tackle box and tossed me one of his favorite secret color corky, "Hey jens catch" I almost fumbled his offerering but was able to grab it in mid air. I quickly changed rigs, while trying to shield the other guys along the shore from taking a peek on what I was putting on. I kid you not, 5th cast- snag?? is it? Yes!! Fish on! There was no way in hell this fish was coming off. I took my time and let the fish tire on its own. Goin_postal borrowed a net and attempted to secure my fish. I don't know if this net was an aquarium net meant for goldfish, but it snapped in two when my fish squirmed in the netting. Oops. Finally, I get one here. Goin_postal's promotion of WashingtonLakes.com got 2 lurkers to say they were going to sign up. Tony and Brian- welcome!!

Good work though the fish looks a bit dark for my taste. That "secret color corky" - homemade yellow with brown dots drawn in? :-)

lliu, this was personal against the Puyallup Chums for me. Actually, the meat was very fresh and is sitting in some brine right now and will be smoked tonight.

Jacob, no. When we were leaving, the fish that were trying to jump for freedom in the Tribal nets were all bright.
