Arrived around 12:30pm, started fishing down river and nada, talked with another angler, he mentioned it was on fire last week, steelhead everywhere. Dang just my luck miss the big run. He mentioned today it just DIED. Again just my luck fishing when there are no fish. Started working upward and met BS, didn't recognize him at first due to the sun behind him blinding me. Then started talking and recognized it was BS. We fished for about couple of hours and I was getting NADA, except for a few rockfish and linefish, I think BS had one of those overhangingbranchfish. but quickly he was ready to go again and he was on fire, he was hooking up one every other cast and I did managed to help him net that 13.5# chum, it was huge. I mentioned to him that I needed some more fish for my smoker and he offered the fish to me, thanks again BS, It was brined overnight and now it is in the drying stage before I smoke it tonight. I will try to hook up with you soon so I can share the smoked salmon with you. I had to leave around 3:30 pm and started packing up and I hear BS had another fish on, so I went to quickly grab his net to help him net. After about couple of minutes fighting the fish, it came off. I then went back to finish packing up and couldn't find my car keys. I asked both kids, and they didn't know, we looked around for about 15-20minutes, I must of emptied out the car 3 times and nothing. I thought to myself it has to be in the car somewhere, luckily I have a spare key in my wallet. When I arrived home I emptied out the car completely again, and nothing. I was not looking forward to going back to the river and look for it with my headlight lamp. I took one last look at my vest pocket and crap it was in my other vest pocket that I don't use much of. Needless to say I had to apologize to both of my kids for blaming them. I want to thank you BS and the other fellow angler for helping to look for my keys. I hope that is the last time I am called keyhunter.LOL.

Man, I thought for sure you were going to get some fish. Well at least some edible ones besides those rockfish/linefish. I like your new name, "keyhunter"
good job keyhunter, thanks for the report.

Welcome back TT08. I've been asking Jen's "Where is TT08?" He said somewhere in Port Ludlow, what is that? Lets go catch our steely, I need to get one. Anyone know where they are showing up? Come on people we are all friends here, lets share our spots with each other.

Yeah dont you just hate those stories. "Oh, everybody here was catching there limit here yesterday," so you decide to give it a try and you catch nothing. It happens to me all the time.
