My computer is having an attitude right now so I'm not logged on I'm procaster.

I have been very sick the last couple days so I had to cancel a long awaited, which really sucked, but i felt good enough sunday afternoon to hit the local river.

With the cold weather, I figure the afternoon would be better because the fish would get some sun and be more active. I started at 128th bridge working my way day switching between fly pole and spin rod. I was working down to a drift I found, which is perfect. When I was close enough to see it, there was people fishin it. I had to decide if i should leave or wait for them to leave. I decided to wait and it was getting dark. I had to fish rapids for about 40 minutes waiting for those guys to leave.

Finally, I see the two guys packing up, and I move in After about ten minutes fish on. Right away it jumped and i new i had my late x-mas present on the line.

It ended up being 6lbs. even on the digi. hatchery hen, first winter steel of the year.

I was using my spin pole, it is a light action 10ft. pole with 6lb. main and 8lb. leader. And the big question, what was I using for bait? Yes, you guessed right, just a single whole night crawler. Some times you need to fish different than everyone else to get them to bite.

Good luck

Nice report Procaster 27, I'm wondering if coloring them pink would also be more enticing for the fish? I mean we use those pink rubber worms, and live pink worm would be even more enticing. Wondering if anyone has tried it?
