Yup not too much goin' on at the green today. Me and a buddy hit the banks just above the highway 18 bridge at about 7:30 this morning. Started out drifting a double hook setup with corkys and yarn with some eggs and shrimp scent, got a nudge or two. Switched to bobber and a black/orange/red marabou jig, nothing happenin'. Started plunking, had a few touches, found some rockfish and a stickfish or two (threw those back - couldn't find that species on my punch card...), but no takers. Switched to a #4 vibrax pink spinner and got a nibble. Not too many signs of life though. No fish rolling or surfacing. Water was pretty high and cloudy. Visibility was about 2 - 2 1/2 feet at best. Still lookin' for my first steelie. I guess it just wasn't in the cards for me today. Better luck next time.
