Arrived at the 116th after severe frustration at the Carbon River. Saw several anglers there and had high hopes maybe today is the day for me. 1 angler was fishing with spinner and nothing. Another float fishing, nothing. Next one corky and yarn, nothing. Not good. I decided to try anyway. Got out my 2nd rod ready to go and attached my cork and yarn. Water was high and fast and tried using larger corky and heavier weights. Drifting bottom pretty good and nothing happening for about an hour. Decided to move up to the area where BS was hooking up fish in the past. And nothing. Towards the end I did managed to get that same "overhangingbranch' fish and snapped my line and called it quits. Finished around 2:20pm. Did not see anyone catch or even see any fish rolling by. Starting to wonder if there are any fish. When I got in the car, felt this pain on my back and shoulders, I'm thinking to myself its not from catching any fish, oh yeah its from those damn rock and overhangingbranch fish. Need to give it a break to heal up now. If anyone is catching anything please share with us desperate steelyless anglers.

I heard that. Being steelyless sucks. The puyallup's been really fluky lately, at least for me. Sometimes you see a nice bit of action, but most of the time it's just dead. Gotta keep tryin' though. If I give up now, I'll never get one. Cya on the water, good luck and tight lines!

You are putting in the time bud so keep at it. Practice smiling when you cast.
