Sorry everyone, I was hoping to have a fish good story. Sunday afternoon I fished 116th st. I got there at 1630 and fished till it was dark. I walked up river and crossed to fish that hole first. Had a decent hit on an egg pattern, but no hook up. Went back through hole with spoons but no hits. Moved down to hole directly in front of parking but no fish either. I used spoons there until dark.
I fished the lower river last week and night fished also and still zero. If any one is wondering where I night fish, I have been at 116th st. hole. That is about that only spot you can keep an eye on your vehicle while fishing.
Also, it seems like some people lose a fair amount of fish, before I make my first cast, I check the sharpness of my hook. I will grab my hook by the eye and turn it upside down and drag it across my finger nail, and if it doesn't stick is is not sharp. I use a fine grit "D" shaped file to keep my hooks needle sharp. I repeat process often depending on how much I hook up on bottom. If I do hook a fish, when I set the hook, I will reel down and set again to drive hook in.
I hope every one made it to sportsman show, I had the pleasure of meeting Toni and Mike!
Good luck every one!
