My buddy had to get back to Olympia after three great days on Ruffus Wood.So i decided to fish the Okanogan River for some Steelhead. I started the morning fishing Blue Fox spinners as the area looked like perfect water for that type of presentation working my way down river soon had a hit two jumps later he was gone .I worked my way to the tail out of the hole i was in, another take.This one made it to the beach to be released a nice native about 8 lb I ended the day with two to take home.I fished the area around Tonasket.The river is a real gem. Fishing on a Saturday and i had the river all to my self never seen another fisherman. Had to ask permission to access the river at two places and was granted permission with thank you for asking. Great day great weak.
