Hit the cowlitz on Sunday for some springers up at barrier damn fish were rollin across the river near the island but we couldn't get a nibble tried every thing I could think of. Wishin we were on a boat saw one guy on the island catch a springer. Any how after a while of that we decided to go to blue creek for some steelhead glad we did. Put on the bobber and 3 feet of lead with a new pink jig id bought the day before at sportco and started tossin it. 3rd cast BOBBER DOWN!!!!!!!! Yanked back as hard as I could felt it yank back and start thrashing holy crap its actually a fish!!!!! Nice hatchery buck not sure on the weight I would guess around 8 or 9. Only fish I saw caught from the bank didn't see anyone in a boat hook up either. I would upload a photo unfourtanely my only way to post this report is from my phone cause my laptops down.
