so i went to the cowlitz a few weeks ago and made up a secret jig to see if it worked and it did, so i came down yesterday from edmonds, so it was a 2 hour drive, and i got 2 steelhead in 3 cast! I dont know if i should be upset because it was so easy and i spent all that time driving or if i should be happy i got fish haha. but the corky yarn combo i made up worked amazing, my buddy put one is his pole and limited out in 6 cast. what an awesome day! I got a 12pound steelie and a 7 pound steelie, however i think the bigger steelie was a late winter run that had been in the river for a while, but what a great quick day down on the cowlitz!
