The Ultimate Fly Fisherman's Dream.... thought I died and went to fishing heaven! Seeing the fish swim "Sharklike" near the shores was one thing, landing a 26" 10lb fatty was another story! Wow, what an experience that I'm looking forward to happening again and again due to the catch & release rules of the creek. I caught 7 fish, ranging from 16" to 26" and I saw even bigger ones.... I think I hooked into some when I lost my fly on 4x tippet, perhaps I'll bring stronger gear next trip! Good fighters too!

Very nice fish! Isn't it great catching fish like that in these managed waters? I love it!

Nice fish! Been awhile since flyfishing Rocky Ford.
I remember some challenging times in the summer trying to match hatches (size 16 dries usually) at dusk...
Also remember nailing them on a little green scud with as thin test leader tippet that I could handle! They can be pretty sensitive to leaders and many have probably been caught multiple times. And boy can they run especially that first run...

Are the carp still infesting the area? Thanx for the report...
