got to the cowlitz around 4:45 and fished it till 9:30. Only one take down all morning. The best part was I tied the jig myself. First time, one of my jigs worked :) Fish hit just before 6am, a nice 27" 8lber. I didn't see anyone else land anything. Heard one other guy drop an F-bomb after his fish hit the rapids. Things have been very slow lately, just in time for these spawning bass.

I have had no luck with the springers. What gives?
