My son and I were going to start out at Blue Creek Area but we ran into some friends that were camping there and said it was dead because the water was too high and told us to try Barrier Dam. So we headed up there with a surprise of people already fishing on the spot where we useally fish, Also surprised about how high the water was. A little over an hour of fishing and I had missed a bite already. About another hour later, the bobber went down and set the hook and Fish On! 2 minutes later my son grabbed the 10 pound chrome summer steelie. We took off shortly after that because I broke my reel and forgot my rain coat. My son decided to be in the picture with the fish for me. Until next time.

Nice catch. I was thinking it was way to fast for bobber and jig. I just drifted it and pulled a nice one out as well. How was the river today?

Pooh, the water level was about 2 feet higher than usual. But in the past, the fish stack up by where I caught the steelhead. The reason we had to leave early was because I forgot to bring a spare reel.
