I went up to fish the Bumping on saturday and it was cold. The fish were biting and I was fishing below the dam first with my rainbow colored roostertail and i caught one nice bull trout that was about 13 inches. THen I moved to below the old spillway and caught 4 fish on the same lure. Then when the fishing got slow I pulled out my fly rod and I was usiong brown and purple nymphs and a brown wooley bugger and caught 5 more fish working my way down to the Hwy 410. BTW it is lawful to fish the base of the dam and I was over 400 feet away from the dam.
