Hit the ditch for a try, walked the mouth up on state land at low tide to hit holding spots, nothing. Hit the mouth at tide change and up a bit, nothing. Saw a big seal working his way down to the mouth. Boaters not fishing going up and down 40+ to the mouth. I could walk accross at low tide easy, up to my knees. Kind of dangerous taking an inboard outboard up and down the river, lots of deadheads, and kills the fishing opportunity,

If you are facing upstream at the mouth it would be the right hand side or west.

I almost forgot you can only go upriver (south) a mile or so then it is private land again.

I thought it was state land on the right side (looking up river). Someone told me it was not, because I told them that I will not pay $100 to fish that river and will walk on the state side and walk across the river to my favorite hole.

The west side, standing on the bridge looking upstream the state land is on your right. I am not familiar with the trails or access points on the state land.
