hit up the carbon with my dad today after no luck at the puk for the last couple of weeks. went to orting to a spot that ive never fished. none the less, ended up getting some good advice from an older gentleman and my dad hooked up to a king that was easily over 20 and i did the same about 5 minutes later both decided to come off about a minute into the fight. was nice to hook my first salmon of the season though and i did see a guy who had crossed catch a dark ugly king that was about 25 on the other side. its amazing the size of the fish that are holding in this drift and im sure thankful that guy was generous enough to share his techniques.
