Since August 22 the Kings are thick at Samish River. I was using a 2/0 or 3/0 red Gamakatsu hook and eggs plunking them in a deep hole by Farmers to Market RD Bridge. Other people were successful using jigs or a small piece of lead and 2-3 feet leader with a corky or yarn attached to hook. The fish is so thick in the river that most people were snagging them. Sorry no photos. My phone drowned in my waders' pocket.

Yep, don't take the camera or the cell with you in the river... Especially with chinook. My cell phone is drying out. Hope it works...

It seems like nobody cares about the restriction or ethics. I was amazed when people snag in front of other people, take the snagged fish and leave proud without any shame or even effort to hide.... I don't even mention the language and fights common to some people fishing this river.
