Been down to the green multiple times since it opened and have seen some fish jumping but not much catching by anyone. Me and a buddy went down allen town area at first light. The tide was way up and heading out. We drifted corky and yarn, threw spoons and spinners no action not many fish even rolling. We decided to go check out 112th area at about 9:30 again we waded out and threw corky n yarn but this time my buddy hooked into a nice silver right in front of us but it got off a few sec. later. The tide got to almost the low and we wanted to change spots so we took off our waders and fished from the bank on the opposite side of the river. Finally after 6 days of fishing out of the 10 days the river was open (50 hrs or so) It was about 2 o clock and was casting my spinner when bam get a strike, set the hook and the fish went crazy jumping out of the water more than 10 times. After a pretty nice fight she threw in the white towel and my net man scooped her up. We fished till 3 and took off. The fish really came in for about 2hr that day, most silvers I've seen this year on the green jumping out of the water in great numbers compared to what we've been seeing. Then on the 9th we went down again at the same spot but only for 2 hours and my buddy hooked into a 6 pound female and landed her. The rain is helping these silvers move in so they are there just keep your technique of fishing in mind it may need to change in some way meaning leader lengths, size of bait or even the way you retrieving your lure and of course can't foget colors that sometimes can be half the battle but thats up to you to find out good luck and fish hard. And my buddy's fish is on his camera thats why no pic of his sorry.
