The Stilly is starting to improve. Water quality was very good today, though still a little on the high side. Ended up catching two Coho today, not too far from Haller Park. One that was 7 lb and one that was 1.5 lb (yes, you read that right...the smallest Coho I've ever caught). Saw quite a few more fish jumping and rolling today than I had seen the previous couple times out. Looks like the run is finally starting to arrive in larger numbers. Still was on the slow side, but improving.

Yeah, the river had been very quiet, with little sign of life. I friend of mine posted an update yesterday on fellowfishermen.com, saying just a few miles downstream of where I was, the water was almost boiling at times. The fish are coming.

That there is a small 1.5 pounder but CHROME! Considering the year anything chrome looks nice. Might try a sabiki rig in the salt for some anchovies to see if I can remember what color chrome is... I can't recall what salmon look like anymore...

Yes, they were both chrome, and very tasty. I too had almost forgotten what chrome looked like.
I think I'm going out tomorrow again. I'll report back if I do.
