never fished this river before, and it was an experience. at there was almost no drift in the pool i was fishing an was havin some trouble hooking (actually alot). tried some spinners and after losing two to big kings breakin me off, i didn't have any left that they liked. switched over to a good sized chartuese birdie spinner (kinda like a spin glo) an an ounce cannon ball an cast it out an slowin retrieved it. got a few foul hook-ups (that went back) but occasionally saw some aggresive fish swipin at it. i put a lil anise/sandshrip stink on it a started hooking up!!! came home with my first silver (around 7lbs) and a king that was between 25 an 30 that was in really good shape. threw back a bunch more boots. the tilton definitely saved my trip south. for anybody headin out there be prepared to see a ton off snaggers, it was ridicolous.
