fished the stilly with no luck. Saw some coho, but more chum then coho. When I first got there a young kid said he had just caught a chum and threw it back. I thought he must be mistaken I did not think they would be in the river yet. I did see one caught (snag) and it was most definitly a chum. When the fish started jumping I could see they are chum. I sure hope there are still going to be more silvers. I was just below diversion dam and did not see that many(silvers) go over or stir below dam, just a few here and there. Everyone I had talk to seemed unsure of rather you can keep the chum in the stilly this year, I checked regs again to be sure I was not giving them bad info. and it clearly says coho ONLY.

I dont get it. You cant keep Chums this year in the Sno system either. Chums arent much to eat so I dont keep them anyway. I guess I'll just CnR Chums and pretend I'm fishing for Silvers or Steelhead.

They smoke up descent.... but the best part about them is the fight!! I don't care that we can't keep them, but I thought people should be aware, as I think people will assume they are part of the 2 salmon limit. However the regs state COHO ONLY, for the stilly anyway. Have not checked for the sno.
