A buddy and I went out around 630 and fish where EVERYWHERE. lots of fish rolling every ten seconds for the next few hours i also noticed that they were already turning black and red.. I hooked into a fish on my first cast, I caught a nice 14 in Dolly ( my first ever). fish were right infront of us the whole time. we tried cokrie and yarn in various colors 50/50 and green speckled dick night. also threw a buzz domb. my buddy hooked into a big pig but snapped his 8lb with ease. lost lots of gear to on snags so its time to hit up the fishing store and give here hell in the morning!

There is a ton of chum in the stilly right now, I fished friday and saw about 95% chum and 5% silvers. Hooked 3 but lost them immediately.

yep full of chum right now.I saw one brilliant kid with a real nice fish.I told him he better not get caught with that one(that he was showing off).He said why not.Cause it's Coho only in this river. He said "it is a Coho".I told him he better look at the pictures in the regs.Usually big purple and green vertical splotches are Chum.and it was clearly a big chum.

leif-liden----your question on the plugs and hooks, on page 19 it explains the selective gear rules, I interpet that you would only be allowed the 1 single hook on the one lure(plug). I thought I had read somewhere that if your in a boat you can have 2 single hooks but I can not find that so I might be thinking of something else. It does state that you can have up to 3 flies or lures each with only 1 single hook. I think this is mostly for fly fishing but not sure.
As for the silvers that I have seen in the stilly they have been nice and bright, I think that as they have been entering the river they have been shooting way up river quickly in small schools. I think with the rain we just had, maybe a larger quantity will enter the river making them stack up in places and giving us a better chance at catching them as they sit stacked up getting irritated with each other so they get aggressive.
Might get a chance to try a couple hours tomorrow also.
Good luck!
