Fished the pond about three hours today. Weather was nice, overcast, lake was flat. Ripples all over the place. "Looks good" I thought. I started with a floating line and black leech, just slowly trailing it back of the pontoon. Found out in short order what all the ripples were - bluegill! Tried to get down to the trout without success. I eventually decided to play with the blues, going to a Montana nymph twitched below a strike indicator. The fish weren't too big but man they really hit hard! Actually had my line busted on the strike by one. I'll bet there are some nice fish but most I think are stunted. Called it a morning at 11am. Got back the launch and learned that one angler had knocked them dead at the outtake stream on a white spinner.
