I woke up this morning and headed out to the puyallup to see if I could hook a fatty. I started throwing a red corky and green yarn and nothing. So, I worked my way up the river and found a hole with fish rolling in it! I threw the same set up for a few, then switched to an orange corky and orange yarn and with-in the second cast; slam!... a huge chum "buck" took off down stream. I fought it for a few before this bad boy broke my 15 lb. leader~ 3 ins down from my swivel. Then about an hour later~ same spot, had another huge slam. Fought it for a few and about 4 ft from the bank its big huge chrome head popped out and spit the hook right at me! It looked like it could have been either a silver or steelhead. I fished for a few more minutes and fish on! This time I made sure this bad boy was coming home with me! A nice still-chrome chum. So, after 5 1/2 hrs and 2 missed fish, I landed this chum. To the smoker it will go!
