12/9/2010 8:10:00 PMthe reason for commercial fisherman fishing the sound is for the support of the Governor she opened the water so that she can make money by selling eggs to japen and china i know bc i work on the fishing boats and we have been catching fish in the sound so if she doesn't get removed from the office northwest is going to be left with out Salmon plus on the 1st of january she has announced the 11 hatcheries that are going to close down due to the matter that the state has no money for support....

12/10/2010 3:43:00 AMThe problem as I see it is all our license fee goes into the general fund and not into the coffers of the wdfw to fund and support our sport. This has to change,,, you let those A** holes in olympia handle the money and they'll screw it off on BS every time! This shouldn't be news to anyone. Hows that hope change thing workin for ya?

12/10/2010 8:17:00 PMi agree we should do something if everyone sent letters to their local congress men or women it might actually have a positive effect if enough get sent since they are trying for constituents and not whats best for the environment. Theproblem is, is that there is more people fighting to keep netting arround (even in tight times when the river was just shut down for poor runs) than there is to put tighter regulations on it and to help restore salmon runs. I know if someone actually started a movement or something to change the way the state manages our resources for the better id get behind it and im sure a lot of other people on this sight would too.

12/10/2010 8:19:00 PMid totally be willing to write a letter or sign some sort of petition to make changes in wild life management for the better but i wouldnt know where to start since i dont know much about politics.
