I went to the Xrodz Demo Daze event and was on a sled operated by Matt and Kelly. It was windy at first but once it started to rain the wind died down. The river had gone down to about 12,000cfs. We got 2 fish. 1 I brought home was 30 inches long. We got both fish before the rain. We were out 7:30 am-10:30am. I was ready to quit...oh my aching back. The Xrodz rods are very nice.

I did see a couple fish caught by the people on the bank.
My grandson Ricky was totally fascinated with the fish and watched me fillet it.

Also, we spent most of the time by Blue Creek Launch but that option isn't in the choices offered.

Holy!!! Very nice steel toni, definantly over of the nicer fish I've seen this winter. Seems you were one of the few on the xrod sled to get fish, good work.

You fished from 730 to 1030 and bonked 2 fish and saw others caught plus got to try new rods and fish on a guide boat? Why was this rated a 2?

Toni you are a great sport. Very nice fish, you and my wife Barb would make good friends, she also likes to fish for Steelhead. Good pictures, thank you for the report.

Matt, my choices were-- 2 Poor fishing-caught a few but really had to work at it. Or 3 average-caught some fish, had some fun. Look at this way 5 people in the boat and 2 fish. If that were 1 person for 15 hours of fishing and only 2 fish.
I don't rate by fun. but by fish and time. We caught a few not some. We had to work hard at it. I have been fishing where the rate was higher because we caught some fish on this same river. Like Oct. 7 was a 3 where the total fish on the boat was 3 kept...more were released.
Therefore, maybe Mike and Aaron should leave the fun out of the rating...?

For Kenbarb I like to fish and catching is best. It can be salmon or steelhead. It isn't very often that I get to meet other woman who fish. It would be nice to meet Barb.

that hotspot you noted was one of my favorite drifts back when I fished the Cowlitz on a regular basis.

Mike, what you have to take into account is how high the river was. I had never fished that area from a boat, ever. I think the fish were traveling and holding in areas that are normally not under water.

no doubt, high water changes everything. Some of my best fish have come right up against brush/trees in high, fast water. Amazed I even hooked them.

Great fish Toni, it is great to see you holding another "big one". I can almost hear Ricky thinking, WOW, when can I go grandma. Keep up the great work, and thanks for sharing.
