I think partially since I read a post not or two before this one and the fishermen mistakenly marked the species caught as Walleye in Snohomish county. Okay, that got my full attention. Now, a post about catching coho, in a river, in December? I have a serious case of double shock going on. I feel as thought my attention span is being tested!! I was all set on seeing a picture of a Steelhead. Nice fish.....but still stunned.

12/23/2010 7:23:00 PMWent back and had a good look see at the picture. looks more like a Steelhead with the trout like tail, black spots on the back, red cheek, crimson side, no hook nose. But could be a whitefish for all I know. LOL

BTW, some Silvers do come in really late. Have caught bright ones in the Sky and Snoqualmie late into January.

12/25/2010 12:14:00 AMyeah they do come in late. one out of 1000 is not an absoloute boot. but yeah nice size for this early could be a good sign.
