I fished most of the day with only a sucker fish to show for it, the two retired gentleman set me up with what was working for them and that was small light pink corkie and yarn and I got a couple bites. They each had two nice bright steelhead. I talked to a couple guys and white corky and yarn was the ticket by the hatchery. I believe I was the only vehicle with no steelhead. I have always fished for steelhead w/ jig and bobber but I believe I learned a lot from the nice men around who were all incredibly helpful, I will go back on Wednesday stocked up on an assortment of corky and yarn, if this day was about the experience gained it would be a 5 star day. Also the biologist said the bite has been much better in the evening all week.
