Did really well on steelhead in the grande ronde over the last 3 days, this report is for 3 days, thursday friday and saturday. We got 21 fish hooked and landed 16 in those days. Got to fish some unfished water above and below the hatchery even some oregon water and got some beautiful natives (allowed to hold out of water) and the washington section produced some beautiful hatchery hens too. Released most dark fish, but as you can see we got some really nice ffish also. bigger size than average too. The natives were all around 10 lbs, and the big bright hatcheries were 8 or so. Great trip. Drift fished the hatchery hole and "pear tree" below the hatchery for the keepers. natives came from secret drifts in oregon. Corkee CHARTREUSE WAS A KILLER! and flame yarn with a small bit of eggs was killer all trip. Bottom bounced.
